Prep/cook time: 1 hour
What You'll Need:
- 5 deer steaks
- 1/2 c flax meal
- 1/2 c grated parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c - 1 c pizza sauce (depends on how much sauce you prefer, here is a link to my no-cook recipe)
- 1/2 c mozzarella cheese
Dip each steak in egg, then coat with the flax/parmesan mixture and place in the baking dish.
Bake for about 15 minutes, then remove from the oven. Flip each steak and spoon the pizza sauce evenly over them.
Return the pan to the oven for 15 more minutes, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top and let bake for about 5 more minutes or until the cheese is melted.
There you have it! Super easy deer parmesan. I think next time I will pan fry the deer before baking to give it a little bit of crispiness. You can also replace the flax with almond flour. Enjoy!
